In my mind I occupy a film noir existence, and that kind of life requires a soundtrack. Lately a lot of that sonic space has been occupied by Ornette Coleman and Howard Shore's soundtrack to David Cronenberg's Naked Lunch. It's sort of like what you'd get if Norman Granz had asked Coleman to do a "With Strings" set for Verve.
