Slow Roll Buffalo yesterday, and I am feeling it in a good way.

Slow Roll got its start in Detroit, and has been rolling in Buffalo since 2014. It is a community cycling ride that typically takes place every Monday evening. My sense is that it was originally an awareness event-- a bunch of cyclists would ride en mass though the streets along a designated route in order to increase the visibility of cyclists, but has become bigger than that. Yesterday's roll started by the Marcy Casino in Delaware Park, and the streets-- including a section of the Scajaquada Expressway-- were swept clean and closed off for it. 2,180 people participated, and my phone says it was 10.2 miles door to door. Not a killer distance, but my first time on the bike this spring. It was a little too slow for comfort-- I am still very new on this bike and still getting used to it, but I am liking it more and more.
