This list of The 200 Best Albums of the 60's is pretty Pitchfork-y, but that's not to say that there aren't a lot of great sets on it, or that I won't be checking out a fair number of them. There's stuff here that I don't know, and stuff I haven't been back to in a long time.
I like these lists a lot better when they stick to one genre. There is no way in hell Big Brother and the Holding Company is better than any Sonny Rollins record. I'll keep reading, though, in case I need to whine about the Top 5 not being Coltrane.
