For no good reason I've been thinking about Bob Dylan's hats. He wore that stupid looking hat with the snap on the cover of his first album, then went bare headed until Nashville Skyline. 
The Band were all hat guys, so on the cover of The Basement Tapes he rocked a top hat. 
A true classic is the western hat with feather on Desire 
I think he's wearing one of his mother's hats at The Last Waltz
